1998 RAP MIXTAPE

In 1998 I thought I had it made. I was a senior in high school and drove a red 1991 Volkswagen Fox with a 6 disc CD changer in the trunk. I had a case logic full of CD’s to sift through so I could pick out my music for the day. I had Beastie Boys and Rage Against the Machine stickers on my car just to let people know what vibe I was on. But inside of the whip don’t get it twisted! Rap and Hip Hop was getting bumped out of that detachable face radio in my dashboard and my mids and tweeters throughout the car made sure my music was bumpin’ out the speakers no matter where you were seated. This playlist below is what I was listening to in 1998 while driving around in my car. In this car we listened to a lot of music that was released in 1998. We would take it down to Houston, Texas with our boy Devin the Dude….

We were all over the place with our rap. We didn’t care where you were from or your background. It was always the music that we loved! Here is a playlist of nothing but 1998 rap and hip hop. I hope you enjoy!
