It’s not hard to see that Lord Sko is on a nice run. And it’s not just these Statik Selektah production he has because Sko has been bubbling for a hot minute. To me, his voice always stood out and his overall vibe shined through his art. You don’t see this often with artists but when you do, you have to listen… pay attention… you have to watch. For me, the first track I heard from Lord Sko that caught me was probably “Carry the Torch” as I thought he had a style nobody had….
When I say Lord Sko does it ring a bell with you? If not, let’s change that. He’s one of the best artists in the game right now and I don’t even want to throw a genre out because this kid is simply a wave… Let’s not box him in. Let Sko cook and we’ll be happy with the main entree… If he reminds me of one artist I would say it’s Cudi when Cudi was bubbling on the mixtape seen as he was blowing up. Sko explores sonics that many don’t and he doesn’t stay in a lane… he creates his own….
That track “Wonder” right there with Lord Sko and Statik Selektah is something man… I hear this track and I just feel it needs to be on the main stage across the US… Get this kid on tour with Statik and how could you not show up to support… This is a new wave of trippy positive raps that makes you feel a certain way… You can hear the passion in Sko’s lyrics and Statik has been bringing out the best in emcees for a longggg time… remember when Mac and Statik linked???
I don’t know… Maybe Lord Sko takes parts of Cudi and parts of Mac but mixes them in his own brand and it just comes out immaculately. Go listen to these new Lord Sko tracks.
But then go right down some rabbitholes to find more gems… Lord Sko is from NYC but he has love out in Cali too… Kid is a hustler… He is growing a global brand with what he is doing… Btw, he really sounds at home over some NugLife production too… Sko and Vel Nine could be a murder duo… think about that for a minute.
Lord Sko has a good ear for beats… He has a good feel for his delivery and cadences… I’m not hearing him lose at all right now… You should really tap in with his past catalog and start tapping in with the kid.

and do you even want to start with Statik Selektah? Dude has been making crazy beats for so long with hip hop’s finest.
Statik will go down as a top hip hop producer of all time I think? Bold I know but just go listen to the catalog… So much you have missed… others you didn’t realize was Statik but all in all, he is so damn nice on the boards.
Go listen to Lord Sko and Statik Selektah now… Stop sleeping… you need some good vibes in your life and this could be it.
