Alright… WWE Survivor Series is in San Diego this weekend so I’ve been watching a lot of old wrestling videos to get me ready for the event. I was a big WWF fan back in the late 80s and early 90s but I also really enjoyed WCW when I would watch them on Saturday afternoons in the summer. I just loved the interviews and the way characters were built and the storylines involved with each athlete and/or match. It was always just really cool to me.
When ECW came on in the late 90s, I had my VCR ready and woke up at 2am to watch the show… it was on probably 2 out of every 4 weeks and it would never be on time… it would always be weird quality… it was so underground hip hop to me… ECW got me back into wrestling… Then it was the Attitude Era in the WWE which was brilliant… then WWE bought out ECW and WCW and became the biggest wrestling conglomerate of all time. I fell off of wrestling for a long time but I always watch old highlights… it always just makes me happy.
